Many of us think that passion, skill, and grit are enough to succeed in a business venture. The story of the owner of 5 Loaves and 2 Fish restaurant showcase the most important element of success which is to surrender everything to God.
Ms. Dinah Grace M. Miro, the great woman behind 5 Loaves and 2 Fish restaurant, grew up baking and cooking with her mom. As she became fond of it, she studied in a culinary school to acquire formal techniques and knowledge. She eventually had the desire to start a food business that showcases her own creation.
As her healthy lavosh chips with delectable spreads were well received at parties and get-togethers at home, Ms. Dinah chose it to be her signature dish. She took the opportunity of marketing it at BGC Midnight Mercato and Ultimate Taste Test 6 back in 2011.
In July of 2015, she has been impressed by the Lord to establish a family restaurant but launching such is easier said than done. She and her husband, Mr. Anthony Miro, encountered various obstacles in establishing such. They just continued to persevere and they didn’t cease in praying to God and trusting Him.
Finally, God has honored their prayer and they were able to successfully launch their restaurant which I was able to attend to. Ms. Dinah decided to name it 5 Loaves and 2 Fish which is based on John 6:14 and Mark 6:41 whereby Jesus feeds five thousand people. It is, indeed, the best name for not only is it a conversation starter but it reflects how that the owner faithfully follows Jesus.
5 Loaves and 2 Fish restaurant is the extension of the kitchen of the owner. The food offered is diverse but expect that everything is cooked from the heart. What is also great is that they don’t scrimp on ingredients. The food here certainly warms once soul.

Love 5 Loaves and 2 Fish restaurant
The food served to us was for sharing. Since I was too preoccupied taking food shots, by the time I came back, some of the food was already gone and only a few dishes were left. I got to try the Salpicao. The beef chunks were tender with a garlicky taste much to my liking. I also got to enjoy the BBQ Spareribs that has a succulent sauce which pairs quite nicely with plain rice. Overall, with the dishes that I got to taste, I could feel the warmth of home in it. I can’t wait to return with my partner, Lloyd, and see what he has to say in the meals there.
