A. Refinery Concept Store Launch in Metro Manila

Audio Refinery Inc., a new player in the Audio and Lifestyle industry, launched its first ever concept store in Metro Manila – A. Refinery. Indeed, with the slogan Lifestyle-Music-Technology, A. Refinery is the home for big audio brands, lifestyle products, and the newest technology of home automation.

It was our pleasure to celebrate A. Refinery’s official grand launch last Saturday, April 23, 2016.

During the celebration of their grand launch of their UP Town Center location, A. Refinery hosted a program throughout the whole day event. Such includes letting us SEE, HEAR, and EXPERIENCE their product offerings in line with their company’s mission.

They initially did a product demonstration of the JBL Pulse 2, a splashproof portable Bluetooth speaker with interactive light show. As the speaker has a JBL Prism color sensor lens, it lets the user to just point and shoot the lens to the color he/she wants. This results to a customized light show experience that go great with its high-quality stereo sound. Additionally, this splashproof design has a built-in 6000mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery so it has up to 10 hours of playtime.

As A. Refinery is the home of iconic brands such as longtime German headphone powerhouse Beyerdynamic, and two of Britain’s leading audio innovators Chord Electronics Ltd. and Q Acoustics, their product demonstration will never be complete without discussing those.

I had the opportunity to experience the Beyerdynamic T51i with the Chord Mojo during the product demonstration and to discuss my thoughts on it. The Beyerdynamic T51i already has transparent, clear highs and a deep bass response. However, with the addition of the Chord Mojo, it produced unrivaled sound quality. Chord Mojo, a powerful headphone amplifier, truly delivers crystal clear audio in the way it is heard in a recording studio.

According to Me-An, she particularly enjoyed the Beyerdynamic T51i too. It only doesn’t have a clear, powerful sound, but it is excellently comfortable for her. A major plus for her also is that it’s practical even when traveling. She learned that it can be kept in a rugged nylon carry case and it comes with an airplane adapter. This means a superior in-flight entertainment experience for travelers like her.

Meanwhile, these are the other photos of the products and/or with their products that piqued our interest.

The store is also an ideal setting for non-audio brands such as Booq Cases, Linearflux Hyperchargers as well as one of the newest innovations of the 21st Century – Home Automation by Control 4.

A. Refinery Store

Control 4 is a home automation system that offers a smarter living experience to anyone. This means with just one touch, you can dim the lights, stream high-resolution music, and even lock the doors. How convenient is that? Next thing we know all houses will normally have this system.

Part also of their program was a limited time sale on their featured products at 20% or 30% off from 3PM to 5PM. This was previously mentioned on our instagram account. They also have raffle prizes for attendees and customers who purchased during their launch. The grand prize of which is a Harman Kardon Esquire speaker. Congratulations to the winners!

A. Refinery also held the first leg of their so called AR-Jam Sessions.

Jam Sessions

First performance was by one of the rising acts in the indie scene, Jensen and the Flips. Honestly, we’ve never heard of them before. And we heard that they don’t do a lot of acoustic shows, but they owned it. Check out their Honeymoon album.

On the other hand, the other performance was by one of (Original Pinoy Music) OPM’s top bands, Mayonnaise. As expected from a top band, they are very meticulous with the sounds and, of course, they produce great music.  Be sure to check out their all-English sixth album, For the Rest of My Life.

  1. I will totally tell my friend about this new opening music store in the north area. Though it’s a bit far away because we live in the south, I bet she would totally go there! 🙂

  2. Although I am not much of a techie, I can appreciate the kind of equipment that I am reading about in this post. I think being there, and able to experience and test out the equipment is a whole different experience than just to read about them. I am glad you enjoyed the launch.

  3. I’m not much into this techno world. But I can understand that when you’re there and experiencing the sound, volumes, base and whole music/sound sensation, that it’s pretty cool! Very dynamic post. The pictures are saying more than words!

  4. I love listening to music and watching movies like almost everyone. Before, I’m not really quite meticulous into buying gadgets and stuff. When my friends are like getting too OC with things like audio, I just raise my brows. But then I came to realize investing in premium and good quality products matters because I had bad experiences buying cheap ones. I’ll visit this store one time!

  5. All my boys love and appreciate music. I bet they will enjoy when we bring them there. Thanks for this.

  6. Congratulations. One of the perks of blogging and covering events is the chance to meet new people, owners and fellow bloggers. Looks like you had a blast there and oh, those are really good toys for music lovers especially.

  7. Good thing that you’re in such a far away country otherwise I would have zero money coming to that store. I’m kinda of a music geek (and Mr. M even worse than me) so I’m pretty sure that this type of store would be the ruin of us.

  8. this is definitely a perfect place for music lovers and enthusiasts…my cousin will surely enjoy such place .. he’s really into music and he even has his own band too
thanks for giving us a tour to this newly opened store.. must be a great experience to not just witness but tried their items as well

  9. My hubby is a music lover so he knows these things more. Would love to bring him here to see what he thinks about it 🙂

  10. Harman! That’s always been one of the names I’m looking for when it comes to good audio. I’ve been to this place before and I must say, I’m speechless when it comes to what they can offer. Sounds like you guys had a jam, I wish I was there when you were holding sessions!

  11. I think this will be a GOOD Store if the follow the Philippines Law about consumer products. They won’t allow a customer to have 7 days replacement in case of FACTORY Defect instead they will send your unit to service center even if just 24 hours after you bought to them. I won’t ever ever but to this kind of store. SORRY!!!
