Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila starts the year in royal fashion as Spiral presents Le Grand Royal Brunch this coming 28th of January. It is the first in the series of leisurely lunch gatherings held in the multi-awarded Spiral restaurant. If you can’t make it this Sunday, other dates you can enjoy the special brunch are the following: April 29, July 29, and October 28, 2018, as it is offered quarterly.
What to Expect on the Le Grand Royal Brunch on January 28
Le Grand Royal Brunch is inspired by lavish and picturesque royal engagements. Thus, enjoy an opulent banquet feast in a grandiose brunch setting while you witness a runway show by international and multi-awarded fashion designer, Albert Andrada, and under the creative direction of Robby Carmona.
As Mr. Andrada’s fifth sartorial presentation at Sofitel, an haute couture tea party collection inspired by Princess Margaret, sister of Queen Elizabeth II, will be presented. It is glamour at its finest.
Each Le Grand Sunday Brunch presents a thematic culinary production. The first in the series showcases mobile ateliers and luxurious dishes in sumptuous and artistic culinary interpretations by Spiral’s seasoned artisans.
STUFFED BAI HUA FISH MAW
Presented by the Chinese Wok is this premium dish in China. It is a dish rich in collagen ideal for a healthy and younger looking complexion. A fun fact is that it was created especially for the Chinese Emperor.
This delightful creamy chicken dish originates from the royal Shahi Mughal Era and is presented by the North Indian atelier.
TIGER PRAWN IN BASIL FRIED NOODLES WITH NAM JIM SAUCE
When prepared in an elaborate fashion, it is usually presented to the Thai princess. Enjoy this at the Thai atelier.
FRESH TUNA YAKI SHABU-SHABU
The Hot Japanese atelier will have an enhanced premium selection with this flavorful offering fit for the monarchy.
GRILLED BEEF KALBI
Gourmands will experience being transported to Imperial Korean by the Korean atelier with this dish. It features special-cut beef short rib wrapped in with zucchini and chili bean paste.
GRILLED STUFFED SQUID WITH AUBERGINE SALSA
Delicately prepared by thhe Filipino atelier is this dish that celebrates the marine life treasures and fresh produce offerings of the Philippine archipelago.
RISOTTO ALA PRIMAVERA
Aside from King Veggie Burger and Foie gras mi-cuit with poached pears, this hearty rice dish is also presented by the French atelier.
Other featured dishes of Spiral’s enhanced selection includes Zucchini Cannelloni with Enoki Mushroom and Tofu, Tuna al Pesto with Crispy Garden Salad, Pan-seared Foie Gras, Beef Prime Rib, Crown Roast of Pork, Caviar and French Oysters. Grilled Specialties feature tasty Satays and a colorful selection for flavorful Mongolian Barbecue at La Veranda’s deck showcasing a scenic view of Sofitel’s iconic lagoon-shaped swimming pool.
This wonderful pleasures of gastronomy are best experienced with family, friends, and/or loved ones. For families, their young ones can delightfully engage with colorful interactive programs and animations. Adult gourmands, on the other hand, can also be serenaded by Spiral’s live musical entertainment as they enjoy free-flowing champagne with their dishes of choice.
