As Philippine Airlines (PAL) celebrates its 76th Anniversary this March 2017, it partnered with Globe to hold a 3-day expo. The expo is experiential. Thus, passengers get to experience PAL’s different products as well as the innovations they have in store as it journeys to becoming a 5-star full-service carrier by 2020.
Innovations Featured in the Expo
B777-360 VIRTUAL TOUR
Be wowed with a 360 tour of the newest B777-300 ER.
What’s new with PAL’s planes?
- Two brand new B777s.
- Q400 Next Generation for domestic flight services.
- First of the 21 A321-Neos and A350s for international flights by 2018.
- First of the eight reconfigured tri-class A330s which will fly to Honolulu this June.
ENHANCED INFLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
I wasn’t able to experience it during the expo but you can experience it for me insteas. The upgraded myPAL eSuite in-seat monitors provides more media content, boasts of new functions like a direct messaging from the crew, and a dedicated option for the kids called “Little PALs.”
NEW FLIGHTS AND HUBS
Philippine Airlines’ newest flights are the following:
- Manila to Kuala Lumpur

Globe and Mabuhay Miles will launch its Traveler SIM, the first of many surprises Globe and Mabuhay Miles are cooking up this year.

PAL Cargo offers sample computatition for those who would like to bring cargoes all over the Philippines and the world.
After successfully launching the first-ever crowdsourced safety video – The Heart of the Nation Inflight Safety Video, PAL continues its Safety Advocacy by creating an experiential Safety Challenge.
Groups of participants go through a series of challenges in so-called “Safety Zones” where one’s knowledge will be put to test after watching PAL’s newest inflight safety video.
Those who are able to complete the tasks will get special prizes from P.AL including free roundtrip flights to some of the most iconic Philippine destinations.
PAL certainly pulled my heartstrings as they showed their first narrative from their newest campaign, “Stories from the Heart.” It’s about the story of Captain Yvonne Sunga, one of PAL’s esteemed pilots.
She is truly inspiring as she dreamt big and made sure to strive for its fulfillment.
More heartwarming stories will be launched throughout the year on PAL’s Facebook page at fb.com/flyPAL.
