Rufo’s Famous Tapa, a 24-hour restaurant that’s famous for it’s, well Beef Tapa. And I was fortunate to have been invited in the unveiling of their newest Sisig Silog line up of dishes that will truly sizzle anyone.
Behold, the Sisig Silog, a collection of various kinds of sisig that hopes to caters to each and everyone’s wants and preferences. In every serving of Sisig Silog there is chips, sinangag (fried garlic rice), egg, and the sisig of your choice.
There are 4 kinds of sisig that they currently offer namely:
And, last but not the least, Bangus Sisig.
We had a chance to talk with the President of Rufo’s Famous Tapa, Mr. Paul Izon Reyes. According to him, they noticed that people tend to order their sisig silog meals since it has a large enough serving. Customers share the Sisig silog among their friends or family and their group just buys an extra rice. Thus, what Rufo’s Famous Tapa did was to package the sisig silog and add new flavors. This is so people won’t have to share anymore and will have new options to try out as well.
I had the opportunity to try out all of the flavors and here are my thoughts about the dishes I tried. First of all, it has a decent serving especially the sisig itself. I personally liked the chicken, because it was a little bit sweet and savory. It all has no chicken skin whatsoever, so it’s a little on the healthier side. I also liked the beef sisig which is very flavorful because the beef was savory. I would like to thank the people from Rufo’s for letting us try their new lineup of sisig silogs.
For those who want to tryout their Sisig Silog, it’s now available on all Rufo’s Famous Tapa Branches for an affordable price of PhP 89.00 (or 1.89 USD) .
